I swore I'd never do it...

...but once I sat behind the wheel of a Honda Odyssey, I was hooked. We ended up buying a 1999 in stellar condition - it even smells new still. The nice part is, we saved something like $18,000 over a new one, and, for that simple fact, despite the reality that this is the newest, nicest vehicle we've ever owned, we won't burst a blood vessel when one of the girls spills something inside it.

The coolest part is the remote-controlled side doors - just hit the clicker, and the rear passenger doors open up like an airlock on the USS Enterprise. It also has that nifty hideaway rear seat - just remove the headrests (and deposit them in the brilliantly designed holder well in the rear compartment), grab the handle on the back of the seat, pull, and it folds away into the floor. Nice.

By the way, this picture isn't our van, but I'm too lazy right now to go downstairs with the camera and take a photo of it. But, trust me, if you saw it, you'd say, "hey, that's it!"
