This is my family.

"This is my family.
It is small.
And a little broken.
But good.
Yes. Good."

My son hasn't had a lot of exposure to our greater blogging community, and since he doesn't know you guys really, we haven't kept him current on all the photos you've been posting. He knows of your situation, however, and has heard us mention your names repeatedly.

This morning, he walked over to my desk while I was gazing at photos of your girls in their new clothes and asked who those kids are.

"They are the girls that our friends Scott and Katrina are adopting."

His simple response touched my heart:

"They look happy."

I showed him this post, of the family photo, and he read the movie quote aloud in his best Stitch voice (which is really very good, I must say), then studied the photo for another moment before drawing this conclusion: "That's cool."

Indeed.

Who will ever guess that they didn't get those adorable dimples from Katrina. We will be praying that you get to bring them home soon. They are 3 preciouse little girls.

Happy looking family... I'm all too happy for you Mr. Rainey that your dream of adopting kids came true. Of course, I'm not as happy as Cara, but still...

Sherry, might I ask how old your son is? *just curious*
