Voices from the Back Seats

Last night, as we were driving back from Denver, Kat put in the CD from this summer's Vacation Bible School. Lots of great, easy to learn, kid-friendly songs, as you'd expect VBS music to be.

At VBS (which we worked at, by the way), the songs were accompanied with really fun hand motions, and Kat was doing them in the front seat as we drove along. I surreptitiously adjusted the rear view mirror, to see a little blonde-headed doppleganger sitting behind her, mimicking every single movement, and struggling with all her might to learn the words as the CD played.

It sounded something like this:

hummm hummm HUMMM Jesus! Humm hummm Jesus!!! hum HUMMMM loves me HUMMMMM makes me strong hum humm Jesus!!!

They practiced and practiced until finally they proclaimed "We got down most of the songs"
Hee hee.
Little did "Lava Lori" know that her ministry at VBS was still going strong.

During one song, Emily asked if it said that God came wrapped as a babe. Then she asked how that was possible.
Well, let us tell you all about it....
*sigh*
