Okay, y'all, we've got a personal invite...

To everyone in this particular blog family who has expressed an interest in attending the August 19th concert at Mariners Church with Undercover, The Altar Boys, The Choir, 441 and Crumbacher, well, we've just received a personal invitation from none other than Dawn Wisner-Johnson, the one and only girl in the band Crumbacher. Check out what she wrote in response to my post about Celebration Night 1985 at Knott's Berry Farm - it's pretty cool.

And, many thanks to all of you who wrote to Katrina, begging her to consider a trip down to SoCal for this gig - it looks like we'll be there, too! We're getting the details worked out. Sherry, I think your e-mail in particular tipped the scales. Who knew Nat worked for the Mouse?

And, speaking of the blog family, will we get to meet up with the famous Jaymarie and Sheila? We should, since you two are in Southern California, and you gals are indeed family now...

By the way, not that hearing from Dawn Wisner-Johnson wasn't cool (because it certainly was), but if I were to get a post from O-Joe Taylor... dude, now that would rock supremely. I got to talk to him once or twice, after Undercover shows, and, despite my being a complete stranger (and, at the time, an 18- or 19-year-old kid), he was always kind and took the time to really speak with me. Just a cool dude overall.
