The Return of Queen Susan

(artwork by Susan Jennings)
I had really hated removing my quote from Susan Pevensie from the header of my blog, because I felt (and still feel) that it truly states the focus of my thoughts with this blog, and with life in general. However, after getting more than one snarky comment about the blog's title (too many juvenile/defiled minds corrupting the term "suck"), I decided it would be best to head up this page with my title's literary origin, courtesy of Walden Pond's favorite son.

Still, I missed that too-great line from the end of The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe: "Then in the name of Aslan," said Queen Susan, "if ye will all have it so, let us go on and take the adventure that shall fall to us." Her quote now resides in my heretofore unused footer, 'way down at the bottom of the page.

It works for me. Still does, and I hope it always will. My invite is to one and all - in the name of Aslan (Christ), let's head outward, and see all that life has to offer us, dive the depths and scale the heights, drink down to the dregs and suck out all the marrow of life.
