Turns out it was all a mix-up - the social worker saw "Long Beach" towards the top of our home study, and didn't realize it was from a couple in Washington State. We're all good.

As things progress with this particular situation, I'll keep everyone posted... just for now, though, I think I'd like to keep it under wraps. Quite honestly, I've grown weary of telling everyone about the latest thing, only to have it blow up. So, details, hopefully, to follow at a later date.
