Synthetic Pumpkins. What'll they think of next?

carvable synthetic pumpkin: Plum Party Supplies & Favors

Y'know, it actually seemed like a good idea, until I figured out just how many real pumpkins I could buy and carve for 39 bucks. Yeah, they rot after a few days, but, who wants an eternagourd, anyway?

Of course, I'd never disparage one of the companies that comes up under my Google ads at the top of my blog ($4.03 and holding for the past week - c'mon, people!)

They were totally selling these at Safeway. I thought about it, then bagged it because you can't put a live candle in it... Go figure.

This are good if you are using them for a wedding table centerpiece or decorations for a party because you can do them way ahead of time and not have to worry about them wilting.
