Okay, it seems to be working...

Since I've added the Google ads to my site, I have earned a grand total of $1.57, which means it is working, albeit slowly. I've experimented around with clicking back on old posts, and have found that the ads are tailored for keywords in the posts - "Chuck Taylor All Stars" came up as an ad on my "80's Day" post, for example. I spent a while clicking around on some of the sites, and added a few more "clickthroughs" to my total, although I'm not totally sure what that means, as it didn't seem to change the dollar amount for today (.75). Anyway, though, if anyone else here in the blog family wants to try this out, I think they still have a link on our blog dashboards for it. I figure, what the heck - I've earned enough for a half a tall mocha at Starbucks, basically for doing nothing. It may not be much, but, hey. "Money for nothing," as Mark Knopfler sang.
