Even now, my heart just hurts for you when I think about you losing your dad.

I do remember meeting him for the first time. It was really late at night, you had stopped by your Los Al house to pick something up, and your dad came out in the hall.

I'm not sure whether he was happy to be meeting someone for the first time so late at night, but I distinctly remember how absolutely pleased he was that I had cut your long hair off (or at least shorter).

Louis Robert Rainey, you are loved and missed!

So sorry, Scott. It was hard enough that you had to lose your mom, but it hardly seems fair that you should lose your dad so young, too. They were great people and I enjoyed the time that I spent with them.

Dude, I know saying I'm sorry doesn't always help, but I am so truly sorry for your loss. I know how much your dad meant to you, and I know he knew it too. Though I never had the honor of meeting him, I can get a pretty good picture what he must have been like just by knowing the amazing man his youngest son has become. Peace, brother.
