Post-Wild Waves Post
21 middle schoolers + 3 adults + so much rain that even native Washingtonians were saying, "Dang - it's really raining a LOT!" = one really crappy day at an amusement park in the Pacific Northwest. After yesterday, I'm beginning to believe that that very phrase (i.e., "amusement park in the Pacific Northwest") ought by all rights to be considered oxymoronic. Or possibly even just plain ol' moronic.
Granted, the previous five years I've taken kids to this park, the day has been just fine - sometimes the sky would be a little gray, occassionally there'd be the sprinkle or two, but nothing like yesterday.
Does the phrase "raining buckets" mean much to people who don't currently or who never have lived in Washington State?
It's 6:15 in the morning, I didn't pull into my driveway until after 9:00 last night, and I'm grumpy. :oP~~~~~
